Who Separalo fits
Setmore has a free plan, so Separalo does not compete on price if a small team needs nothing more. It fits better when you want one flat fee as the team grows (up to three people besides the owner per business) and up to two businesses.
This comparison is written by the Separalo team. Separalo does not charge clients at booking and only sends reminders by email. If you use Setmore’s payments or text reminders, check those before you switch.
Pricing for one or three users
| Team | Separalo | Setmore |
|---|---|---|
| One user | $7.99 | Free on the Free plan. Pro: $5 billed annually; the page also lists $12. |
| Three users | $7.99 | Free on the Free plan (up to 4 users). Pro: $15 billed annually, or $36 at the $12-per-user price. |
| Reminders | By email | Free: one email reminder. Pro: two reminders and 500 SMS credits a month per team member. |
| Limits | Up to 2 businesses, with the owner and up to 3 additional team members per business. | Billed per user, and each staff calendar counts as a user. |
Setmore takes payments through Square, Stripe, PayPal and LawPay. Its pricing page shows no rates, so the rates of the provider you choose apply. Separalo does not process client payments yet, so it charges no payment fees.

How booking works in Separalo
Publish each service with its price and length. The client opens the link, picks what they need and an open time, and leaves their details. After email verification, the appointment confirms or waits for your approval, based on your settings, and lands on the calendar.

Set team hours and breaks. Length is per service; the buffer after appointments is business-wide.
Share the link or QR. Turn on the day-before email reminder if you want it. Clients get a private link to manage the booking under your rules.

When staying with Setmore makes sense
Setmore offers a free plan, online payments, and text reminders on Pro. Before you move, look at what you actually use each week.
- If Setmore’s free plan covers you, switching does not save money.
- If you charge clients at booking, Separalo does not offer that today.
- If clients expect SMS reminders, Separalo only sends email.
- If you need more than three team members besides the owner at one business, Separalo’s current plan does not cover the team.
Try your workflow before switching
- During the 14-day trial, set up your services, team and hours.
- Check how a client chooses a time and how the appointment appears in your calendar. Review cancellation and rescheduling options too.
- Review upcoming appointments before changing your public links. There is no automatic migration from Setmore; avoid offering the same availability in two systems.
- When you are ready, update the links you share with clients and explain where to book future appointments.
