How to fit walk-ins around barber appointments

A thirty-minute haircut and a twenty-minute beard trim need fifty minutes when booked together. Create “Haircut and beard trim — 50 min” so the client can choose an appointment that covers both.

Set cleanup time under “After each appointment” in Services. The work’s duration and that buffer are taken into account when showing available times.

Assign each barber their services and working hours. If one person starts at 9 am and another at 11 am, set both schedules so their first appointments respect those hours.

Include breaks and review each person’s availability on the public page. Before adding a walk-in, check the calendar of the barber who will serve them.

This example takes the full forty minutes. A forty-five-minute service will not fit. If you accept the haircut, add it to the calendar before starting so that time is accounted for online.

You could post: “For a specific time, book through our profile link and verify your email. We take walk-ins during [hours], subject to availability.”

If manual review is enabled in Separalo, add that the appointment awaits your approval after email verification.

Check the calendar of the barber doing the service first. If the client accepts the time, add the appointment before serving the next person; an inquiry alone does not reserve that time.
